Zasalamel does play similar to what he played like from previous games with some extra abilities from freezing opponents and sucks opponents like Abyss. In terms of gameplay Ivy has plenty of juggle combos, long range attacks, she can grab opponents from a distance, her Ivy blade gets enhanced with flame attacks. Well, Ivy is back in her classic SC1 Costume which won't get these snowflakes to play Soulcalibur VI in front of their friends (they won't be missed). But anyway lets see what the trailer has to offer: Ivy was previously talked about when our fellow "allies" the SJWs were talking about her and her controversy, problematic, scantily-clad boob monster Costume 1 which would make them to feel uncomfortable to play the game in front of everyone (check at 5:31pm). He performs a large, cinematic super attack, meaning this will likely be a powerful transformation that the character can use in battle.īandai Namco recently have added more characters to the roster which is Ivy & Zasalamel. Lastly, we see the return of Kilik - Soul Calibur's staff wielder. He moves fairly quickly, and appears to have a powered up state in which his hair changes color and he removes his eye patch. Soul Cailbur 6's first original fighter, Groh, fights with a long dual blade that can separate into two smaller ones. Her weapon of choice is the Jian, a Chinese sword, and her super sends the opponent up into the air, slashes them several times, and finishes with a cinematic slice that pauses for a second before the opponent feels the effect of it. Utilizing heavy slashes to trample foes, Nightmare also comes equipped with a super move that sees him riding a ghostly horse and charging at the opponent.Ī much lighter and more mobile character than Nightmare, Xianghua uses graceful sword strikes and kicks to secure victory. Starting with Nightmare, the large, armored combatant still fights with his giant sword in hand. The trailer gives us a look at what these fighters can do in battle. In addition to this, the game's first newcomer, Groh, makes a debut. Series legacy fighters Nightmare, Kilik, and Xianghua all join the battle. In it, we see four characters revealed as playable. We see more attacks that looks to be more Special Attacks. We got more gameplay related stuff announced at PSX where we get to see more Sword action with Mitsurugi & Sophitia in a snowy mountain stage. With Soulcalibur VI getting announced, and going back to the older generation with 2 Classic SoulEdge characters looking like something straight from Soulcalibur 1 Costumes. All in all, it's not the new Soul Calibur game announcement we're all looking for but at least Bandai Namco haven't completely forgotten the series. The description in the 20th Anniversary video details a Project Soul web page but accessing it right now leads to a test page. Bandai Namco put out a Press Release detailing the recent Soul Calibur Pachislot machine which is being made in collaboration with YAMASA to sell to that particular market but it also announced that the Soul Calibur franchise has shipped over 14 Million copies worldwide across all the games. It takes you back to the series' beginnings with Soul Edge back in December 20th of 1996 and running up to the f2p Soul Calibur Lost Swords which was released 2 years ago.
